Masafi, Fujairah Overview
Masafi village, snuggling along the border of Hajar Mountains near Fujairah, once served as a trading post and refuelling stop before highways were built in the 1970s. Situated on the border of two emirates, the larger part belongs to Fujairah while the smaller section comes in the Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah. Masafi village is renowned in U.A.E for its natural springs, with name Masafi itself meaning 'pure water' in Arabic. In addition, the village is the Gulf's top natural mineral water producer.
