Things to See on Corniche Road

In Fujairah, the road starts with the famous 'Coffee Pot' Roundabout in Faseel, which reflect on the Arab culture and tradition. The coffee pot and cups on the Dallah roundabout signify the tradition of hospitality seen in the practice of coffee drinking in the Emirates.

The road eventually leads to a sandy strip of land, close to Café Maria and the Fujairah corniche. Every Friday at around 5:00 PM, large crowds gather here to watch the unique, local-sport of bull-butting. The gigantic bulls compete to push each other out of the marked circle, and the stronger one is declared the winner. The arena is protected by a fence, allowing the spectators to experience the traditional sport from a safe distance.

On the drive on the Corniche Road, one will also come across horse stables, a children's racing car track, a playground and a night souk (market).
