City of Charleston Municipal Golf Course, Charleston Overview

Locally referred to as the ‘Muni’, City of Charleston’s Municipal Golf Course was founded in 1929 in James Island by the Stono River. The 18-holer course stands on 120 acres of land donated to the City Council by C. Bissell Jenkins. Golfer-friendly with 6-sets of tees, the ‘Muni’ is where many South Carolina residents swing their first golf club.
