Tad Somphamit Waterfalls, Champasak Overview

Tad Somphamit is a natural Waterfall located on the island of Don Khone near Four Thousand islands in Central Laos. Also called as Li Phi falls among the locals, it is a part of Don Khone Somphamit Waterfalls Park and is known for its enormous rapids amidst rocky cliffs. It is one of the worth visiting places for tourists while exploring Don Khone island.

The waterfalls are not ideal for swimming or hiking around as the cliffs are rocky and the water currents are very high. You can spend time in the nearby beaches of Li Phi and Xai Kong Nyai, where you might get a chance to get into waters based on the favour of the current. The beaches and the viewpoints along the waterfalls also offer excellent views of sunset and sunrise. If you want some more adventure, you can zipline on the waterfall, which is provided by the Mekong Zipline company. It costs about 20 USD per person and is a thrill ride over the cliffs and hills.
