Located near the Bir Landing Site behind the Chowgan Tea Gardens, Tsering Jong Monastery is one of Bir’s popular monasteries that boasts of beautiful Tibetan architecture and design.
Nestled among the mountains, the monastery comprises a massive park, a residential complex that houses over 100 monks whose prayers are known to calm visitors and an authentic Tibetan cafe. A field close to the monastery features numerous colourful prayer flags and the site, full of flowers and trees, is serene and provides beautiful views of the peaks, especially during sunset, and of the paragliders landing.
