Parnitha National Park, Athens Overview

Mount Parnitha is a mountain range north of Athens, with an elevation of 1,413 m, and a summit known as Karavola.

Parnitha has many places with archaeological importance; some of them being fortresses. Among them, more famous ones are Phyle and Panakton. On the west slope of mountain lies the cave of Panas. Beautiful site of the mountain is Beletsi Lake. A casino is also located on the way to the top of the mountain and is served by a suspended cable car.
