Darat Al Funun, Amman Overview
Darat Al Funun is home of the arts that contains a series of small art exhibitions and an archaeological site providing insight into the history of Amman. It is a hub for indigenous and contemporary Arab art displayed in six buildings that were rehabilitated to become a centre of Arabian art and culture. The buildings themselves can be considered part of the exhibition as they are some of the oldest buildings in the country.
Darat Al Funun hosts many art workshops that you can attend, or you can choose to view the art, enjoy delicious food and beverages at the cafe or have a refreshing breeze in the garden with a view of the fountain. It is located in the heart of downtown Amman and can be reached by any taxi service.
