Kizkalesi

Kizkalesi, Adana Overview

Located on a small island in the province of Mersin lies Kizkalesi, the Maiden's Castle, which is named after the crusader castle floating in the Mediterranean blue waters. Kizkalesi is famous for its stunning location, rich history, and the ruins of the castles, including the ancient walls, ramparts and sandy beach. Explore the ruins while soaking in the breathtaking views of the Tarsus Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.

It is also a good base for visits to the caverns of heaven and hill, the Roman ruins of Elaiussa-Sebaste, and Byzantine ruins at Kanlıdivane. Kizkalesi, also known as Korkoyos, has been developed into a beautiful and charming little holiday resort at present.
