Adana Ulu Camii, Adana Overview

Adana Ulu Camii, also known as the Grand Mosque, is known for its unique architecture decorated with intricate patterns and designs. For 450 years, it was the largest mosque in Turkey; however, it was damaged in 1998 by the Adana-Ceyhan earthquake. The architectural style of the mosque resembles that of the Mamluks, Ottomans, and Seljuks.

Also known as the Ramazanoglu Mosque, one of its entrances was built by Ramazanoğlu Halil Bey, the son of Ramadan. It is a huge and imposing structure with a capacity of more than 5,000 worshippers.
