The best time to visit Udaipur is during the winter months, from October to March. The weather during this period is pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 25°C (50°F to 77°F). It is an ideal time for sightseeing and outdoor activities as the days are sunny and the evenings are cool. The winter season is also considered the peak tourist season in Udaipur.

Visiting Udaipur during winter allows you to explore the city's attractions comfortably without extreme heat. You can enjoy boating on Lake Pichola, visit the palaces and temples, and stroll through the streets and markets of Udaipur.

However, it's important to note that the winter months (especially December and January) can witness a higher influx of tourists, leading to more crowded tourist sites and higher hotel prices. It's advisable to make accommodation reservations in advance if you plan to visit during this period.

If you prefer avoiding the peak season crowds, you can consider visiting Udaipur during the shoulder months of October and March, when the weather is still pleasant but the tourist crowds are relatively lesser.

It's recommended to avoid the summer months (April to June) as Udaipur experiences scorching heat with temperatures exceeding 40°C (104°F). The monsoon season (July to September) brings rainfall, which can limit outdoor activities and affect sightseeing.
