Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Guwahati - Transfer to Manas

On arrival at Guwahati airport, transfer to Manas National Park.
On arrival at arrival Manas, check in to the hotel.
Later, after lunch go for a Jeep safari in the Mathunguri Range of the park..
Overnight stay at Manas.

Day 2 Transfer to Shillong - Visit Golf Course and David Scott Trail

After breakfast, proceed to Shillong.
On arrival at Shillong, check in to your hotel and settle in.
Visit Elephant Falls, Shillong Golf Course and then go for a David Scott Trail.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.

Day 3 Transfer to Cherrapunji - Visit Waterfalls and Cave

After early breakfast depart for Cherrapunjee.
Enjoy a pleasant drive to see waterfalls & gorges.
Cherrapunjee - The wettest place on Earth offers roaring waterfalls, limestone caves, a living root bridge, & galore of water & adventure activities.
Visit the gorgeous Seven Sisters falls & the Mawsmai cave & Thangkharang Park.
En-route visit Shillong Peak & Elephant Falls.
In the evening check-in at the resort in Cherrapunjee.
Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

Day 4 Trek to Double Decker Living Root Bridge

After breakfast trek from the resort to Nongriat village to the two-tier (or Double Decker) Living Root Bridge.
The trek to this double-decker is tough and will take approximately three hours down a very steep village path through forested areas.
On the way, you will pass through four other smaller living root bridges of various shapes and sizes and a traverse across an iron cable suspension bridge hovering above 45 ft above a chasm of a roaring waterfall.
The trek is hard, certainly not for the faint-hearted but the exhilarating experience is well worth it.
Enjoy swimming in a natural swimming pool and also your packed lunch.
In the evening return to the resort.
Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

Day 5 Transfer to Guwahati - Cultural Evening

After breakfast drive to Guwahati.
On arrival check in at the hotel.
In the evening, visit Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra and experience a cultural evening.
Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 6 Depart from Guwahati

After breakfast, drop off at the railway station or airport for your onward journey.

What's Good: We recently traveled to Assam and Meghalaya with the help of Safar Panda, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. I sincerely appreciate the effort they put i (Read More)nto organizing every detail — from the hotels and rooms to the cab and the driver. The driver Britu Das was extremely friendly and made our journey smooth and enjoyable. Special thanks to Mr. Ujjal and Mr. Amit, who coordinated everything so well. They were always available and supportive, and even when we requested last-minute changes to our itinerary, they accommodated us without any hassle. They went above and beyond to give us the best possible experience and ensured we covered most of the key attractions. The itinerary was thoughtfully designed and executed as planned. The hotels arranged by Safar Panda were top-notch — clean, comfortable, and located in great areas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the food provided, especially the breakfast, which was always delicious and well-prepared to ensure we started our days right. Overall, the entire experience was more than worth the amount we paid.
