I would return

The place is amazing, just a few comments below for improvements

1. The curtains do not block out the soon, so can't really sleep after 4.30am, so that was a bit unpleasant taking into consideration that we were on holidays and wanted to sleep in. 2. The microwave was very dirty 3. The fridge was all wet and smell was fishy 4. Please move the furniture to vacum properly. 5. You provided fruit, which we could not eat as they were very raw, make sure you put ripe fruits, so your customers can eat them. Your place has everything we need, it is luxurious and very very comfortable, if you fix those little things, that will definitely improve your customer's satisfaction. Thanks

Lovely place between Arrowtown and Queenstown

Nice clean space. Bathroom was great and we really appreciated having a washing machine in the studio.

We ran out of hot water at one point but in all fairness I was trying to fill the bath and have a shower at the same time. Then when my husband went to shower it was just cold water.

Spectacular location, lovely host and a comfortable well appointed studio apartment.

A lovely light continental breakfast was provided along with a bowl of fresh fruit and selection of teas, I was delighted to find a proper china tea cup in the well appointed cosy studio, The king sized bed was comfy and the sheets crisp. The location is stunning wish we had time to stay a little longer.

We had a bit of trouble with the TV, so we enjoyed watching an old movie on dvd

A very comfortable suite, but sadly, no interaction with the host

The suite at The Shan's Lodge is very nice. It is large, fully equipped, and the bed is comfortable. It was also very clean. There was a washing machine, ironing board, everything needed. It was comfortable to work from, and I spent most of my time there because the weather was quite bad during my stay. Breakfast choice was good. The check-in was easy and flexible.

I really didn't like that there was no interaction at all. The reason why I choose to book guesthouses/homestays rather than hotels is specifically to have interactions with people. I find it rather disturbing to stay at someone's house and not even get to say hello. It was quite cold when I arrived, and the heat was not on. As a foreigner or person not used to AC at least, I had no idea that there was a heating function with the AC unit. The host mentioned it after I asked if she could turn the heat on the day following my arrival, but maybe having a guide in the room explaining this, among other things, would be helpful. People should also be aware that there is no view, as the suite is in the back of the house (the bay windows faces the garage door, walls of the house, and parking).

Very nice place for a few days. Host very helpful.

Good size for a travelling couple. Shower good. Nice laundry area

Better with 2 chairs rather than a sofa - then could watch Tv without having to be on bed. Kitchen area a bit small. needs new pans.

Next a beautiful lake & so private room so private room like my own house. The room is separated from the main house by a garage sparkling clean spacious room so comfy bed nice toilet plus friendly host

Very good

Spacious room & enormous bed. Very well equipped kitchen including two electric hobbs. Comfortable sofa. Good shower & Spa bath but didn't use the latter. Breakfast plentiful in room for us to prepare. Very friendly owner. Parking

The only fault really were the extra hard pillows which could do with replacing or customers have a choice of hard & soft pillows on the bed.
