The room was very nice and clean, beds were super comfortable, nice view of the street, and the bathroom was super luxurious. Dinner in the Trattoria was delicious, a real treat. We particularly loved the pumpkin risotto! The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Thomas!! He really went above and beyond for us helping us navigate the grounds and helping us select the best dinner reservations!
The breakfast was a little understaffed and disorganized

Bad
Amenities didnt work, hotel was tired and dated and the staff were rude.
The staff were rude, I am pregnant and the assured us of an early check in, only to give our room to someone else and make us wait until 3.15pm to check in. No reasoning was provided. The room we were then given at a cost of over 300 per night was dirty, tired and had no working bath tap. When we made the staff aware they said there was nothing they could do and we should have selected a more expensive class of room. I do not expect to be told, in a 5 star hotel, that in order to get a working bath I should need to select the better class of room. I have stayed in many many 5 star hotels in London including the wonderful Ampersand around the corner. This hotel was worse than a premier inn and I would never stay again.

A Small Overpriced Boutique Hotel situated in a Great Location!
Excellent location, a step away from the bus stop & a few steps away from South Kensington underground station. Surrounded by variety of cafes & restaurants.
The staff were nice, friendly & helpful especially the Senior Concierge Thomas - he went out of his way to assure that I had a comfortable experience.
Its definitely not a 5 star hotel with 5 star hotel standards, its a small boutique hotel, with a tiny lobby area & one person at the reception desk.
I booked a superior Double Room which turned out to be on the ground floor, its very small and dark as there were buildings blocking the windows (Nothing like the photos). The room was freezing cold when I first walked in but Thomas managed to fix the heater and all was good.
Considering my overall experience, I felt it was overpriced.

The history of the hotel.
Amazing suality towels and bathrobe.
The attention for my birthday was so thoughtful.
The hotel needs a little refreshing, new furniture, change carpet etc. With a little investment this hotel can become again exceptional.
