Hamuse - A must stay

The hotel is located 2 mins away from the bus stand so it is very convenient to walk even with luggage. Though it's so near but it is absolutely not at all noisy. All the eateries and a few attractions like Kodaikanal lake, Byrant park & Coakers walk are walkable distances. The roof top restaurant - Wok had really delicious Chinese food. The rooms are spacious and even has got glass window seat to enjoy a hot chocolate. Meltiaz - just opposite to the hotel, is a must try for hot chocolate. The staff are very courteous and will help to solve any query. Especially, Kapil was very helpful. But more than anything, the owner of the hotel - Mr. Senthil is a true gentle man. He personally addressed and took care of everything that we requested. A very humble man with all the etiquettes needed in this hospitality industry. Thank you for everything. We will cherish and will surely come back to Hamuse. Truly a gem in Kodaikanal.

It was a comfortable stay at Hamuse; The entire place was clean; nice beds; good breakfast.

Very neat place; centrally located so you can walk to the tourist spots. The breakfast was good. The staff were courteous and helping.

Though I booked "executive suite", the room size was just of a normal room. Checkout time was 10 am which was a bit early.

The experience of this hotel is good.We will visit again.

Cleanliness and staff behaviour

Breakfast time to be maintained. We reached the restaurant at 8:05 am but still the food preparation and arrangements were going on. It was around 15 min after breakfast to get ready.

One of the best budget hotel

Everything I liked but the location was top notch. It is just in front of the Kodaikanal bus stand on the Main Bazar road, in the center of the city. Every local site sightseeing is just a walk away.

Rooms can have heaters. The one that was provided to us was very small and was barely serving the purpose.

Overall pathetic experience. Zero star..

Rude and unprofessional staff. They replaced / swapped my T shirt in a laundry with someone else & not ready to accept the mistake. The guy on the desk with no uniform acts like a owner and he was very very rude. For the mistake I only asked to apologise but he refused. He had a lot of ego and not even ready to admit that their laundry guy made a mistake. Never book this hotel. They are only greedy for money. No respect to the customer. The bathroom door was broken & water was coming all over. Iron stand was broken. Fan making a lot of noise. They must sack the front desk guy with no uniform who acts like a owner & call himself owners relative. I am also going to write about this guy to Tami Nadu Hotels & Bar association for his misbehaviour.
