Very good

Christmas at the Dunaway.

We have been staying here for years, the staff is always on point and the location is perfect for all your shopping and dining needs.

The rooms are a little dated, and the bathrooms could use a refreshing.

Disappointing

Disappointing at best, feeling robbed at worst

Service from the bar and restaurant staff was the highlight. The drinks and the food were amazing. Loved that! Location is great to explore downtown Portland. I spent the first 19 years of my life in Portland and moved away about 6 years ago. The location was great to show my partner all the highlights. The view from my room was to die for.

Pool and fitness room was lacking in amenities. Front desk staff were often rude. The room was poorly organized with inoperable features such as a TV with a giant crack in it. There were no in room dining options available and no stocked mini fridge. Subpar coffee options in the room. The hallways were unkept. There was a cookie and a towel sitting in the hallway when we turned in for the night and when I woke to go for a morning swim the cookie and towel were still sitting there. Check in and out times are insane. early check in was 50 dollars on top of the 26 dollar fee that for the life of my I cant understand what it was for. The bathroom was stocked with cheap toilet paper and towels too. For the almost 300 dollars I spent for 1 night at this I was pretty annoyed with how it went

Superb

Perfect location and love the ambience of this boutique style hotel.

Location was a plus and the lobby bar was always lively. Coming back from experiencing Portland, it was nice to have a nightcap in the lobby.

The bathroom could be larger. In the website, it appeared to be, but in-person it was much smaller. However still a nice bathroom.

Comfortable hotel, but attempts of fraudulent charges.

Nice hotel and comfortable rooms

At the check-in, they try to add a "mandatory" charge to the booking.com room rate to "promote their food and beverages program". This is NOT part of the booking cost and is a disgusting practice. I plainly refused and told them that I never cooperate with such schemes. Eventually the receptionist had to pull in the manager and after a lot of unpleasant interaction with a lot of pressure applied, the manager "waived" the charges. I remarked that there was nothing to "waive" as I never signed up for such charges. I find this utterly disrespectful to customers who are booking a hotel, especially when it is listed as 5-star. It is infuriating to see such policies and behaviour from reputable hotel chains. I rarely give reviews to hotels, but such behaviour or policies must be called out.

Disappointing

Good location but place is not value for money.

Central location. Very good appetisers John concierge gets five stars!

The rooms have had their days. Has coffee machine and cups, no spoon, no paper towel, Bathroom was underwhelming with empty bathing gel not filled despite the cleaners just passing through before i went in.

Location and value for money. Large size room.

The hotel shows on booking.com as 5*, while it is not. Google ranks it as 4*. Also on the hilton official website it does not show as 5*. There is a local stay tax that we were not informed about until checkout. Apparently the hotel offers some benefits because of those charges but those were never offered to us.
