Didnt get the river view room that we booked here online; and you can hear EVERYTHING happening in the hallway outside the room. Valet is a nightmare to deal with. They cant drive stick shift vehicles, so they left my car out on the street overnight without telling me and then still tried to charge me $60 for the services I never received. Getting in contact with any sort of management for this issue was a two day process. Every single staff member I spoke to was unempathetic, and unwilling to be of any sort of help. Told me there was nothing they could do beyond passing the message to the valet manager, who was out dealing with a family emergency. There was no other management who could address this, and they forwarded my call to the guys personal phone number without explaining to EITHER of us what was going on. Did not follow up at the times they said they would follow up; kept giving me later and later times that someone would contact me. The staff admitted nobody knew how to drive a stick, which is FINE, but nobody communicated that with me and they still tried to charge me!! If I hadnt spoke up and kept calling like I had, this would likely be unresolved and charged for. Also probably would not have booked in the first place if I had known it was up to chance that my car would be able to be valeted. Every hotel Ive ever valeted my car at has had zero issues with moving my vehicle. It does not matter that stick is not common; advertise it on the website that you cant valet those types of vehicles.
Thoroughly disappointed. Will not ever be staying here again. Poorly managed and organized. Probably wouldve had a far better time at a Marriott, but we wanted to experience some sort of luxury for a special occasion. This was not luxury; this was a chore.
