St Athans Hotel has old school charm with squeaky stairs and wobbly floors. The reception is unique, and staff are helpful and chatty. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with some being larger than exp (Read More)ected. The location is convenient with easy access to transportation. Noise from other guests can be bothersome, but earplugs are helpful. Guests appreciate the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, making them eager to return.

Exceptional

Great value for money, ideal location, St Athans does all the simple things really well.

Staff very warm and happy to help. Its my second time staying and will be making more trips. Rooms are simple but comfortable and the location is ideal for central London. Have never crossed paths with anyone or had any issues with the shared bathroom space.

Some rooms are pretty compact, can hear people coming up the stairs from some rooms. Nothing unexpected given the fair price point though.

The hotel is located in old buildings, very well preserved and cleaned. It's Llocation is fantastic! A very good deal for the money in London.

Maybe beds, but they're completely okay for a couple of nights.

Would return but ask for a en-suite room upstairs

Super clean and lovely staff. Great location for getting around London

Avoid ground floor rooms! Windows arent very soundproof so was kept up all night.

Quick Stay

Loved the staff and the proximity to Kings Cross Station.

The beds were less than desired. Pretty uncomfortable. But it was fine for a single night stay. I don't know that I could stay longer.

We had a pleasant stay

Our room was very basic in terms of luxury, but the ensuite bathroom has been refurbished. The room met our expectations, as we had seen pictures during the booking process. Besides we have stayed in similar hotels in the past. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The hotel is located only a 4 minutes walk from Russell Square station. After our city trip we found out the hotel is rated with 1 Star. Perhaps it playes a role they do not offer breakfast, but there are several options in the near distance. Personally we think 1 Star is underrated. In the event we would visit London again, we would definitely consider to book a room in this hotel again.
