Lovely stay at Onsen Ryokan - clean rooms, great facilities, close to bustling areas.

The property has great facilities, amenities and customer service. The onsen is lovely & clean. The room is a tad bit small however, we did have 4 luggages in total so that is understandable! The property right is directly in front of a 7 eleven with multiple convenient stores in the adjacent streets as well. It is located 10-15 mins from the popular areas but it was easy to navigate and public transport around.

Vibe is good. Very traditional Japanese setting. Staff is helpful and polite.

Located on the top of a slope. Room is small. Onsen is small and can be super crowded during rush hour. Lack of electricity socket in the room. Sink is in the living area instead of toilet. You need to do all your washings in the living area.

Very strong onsite restaurant (especially breakfast) and rare onsite onsen

Spa like experience on the edge of Shinjuku. Rooms were slightly small but very well appointed. Crazy good crackers and tea available in room. Near a cool little izakaya with friendly people.

Location is slightly too far on the edge of the main area. This is ok for people who are ok walking a bit to get to the action.

Clean rooms, good service, quiet, staff very friendly and helpful.

Rooms extremely small, so be aware prior to choosing which of the rooms offered. Breakfast must be booked in advance a day prior if you do not have it included. Only two elevators for an 18-story building so they are slow. Staff English proficiency levels vary greatly, but overall not a problem at all.
