Beautiful but due to noisy music you cant escape wont be visiting again

The greenery and nature in general

Construction happening everywhere. Didnt see if. But heard it. So loud!! Terrible to book people in when that is happening right next door or above the room. Also loud music played everywhere by every pool. No peaceful relaxing areas at all. Its such a nature filled place and to have music and I mean loud heavy base music playing was disappointing and worrying for the wildlife having to have exposure to that

Good new experience, but things to know...

It is a unique property in that it is very much a jungle, which is different than any other Barcelo property we have stayed at. We enjoyed the adults only pool as well, as we do not have small children. The location was exceptional as it borders the Xcaret park and made it very nice to go back and forth on the day we visited. We could go back and change in our room as well as come back to eat.

A little disappointed with the staff this time. Wait staff was a little lacking, as we had to wait and go find people to help us many times. They also did not seem as friendly as we have experienced in the past, maybe due to the fact that they are understaffed. We like a big long beach, and the small lagoon area was nice, but we missed having a place to go for long beach walks. We have stayed at many all-inclusive, and the food was a bit disappointing this time. Specialty spots were not great, and not having as many eating options as we have experienced made for a repetitive experience.

The checkin process was not organized and the staff at the reception did not care that we were standing for over 20minutes. It was not busy as all. Ultimately the lady who checked us in was very polite

We had a great time at the resort was beautiful!

The property is beautiful, in a great location, clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We always felt welcome everywhere we went. There was all kinds of wildlife on the property, even monkeys and deer! I fell in love with the Macaws and was grateful to get pictures with them. I really hope theyre treated well!! They were probably the highlight for me because theyre so beautiful. The Mexican and Steak house restaurants were our favorites, very good food! We were on the beach everyday and enjoyed the easy access to the bar and buffet over there. We also enjoyed the shows at night, our favorites were the magic show, the opera singers, and especially the Michael Jackson show.

The floors are incredibly dangerous when wet and they can be a little slow to mop up the water. My friend slipped and fell on a wet spot she didnt see and cut her elbow pretty badly. Since people are mostly walking in flip flops Id expect them to be more proactive about mopping up water after the rain, especially in high traffic areas where my friend slipped. Additionally, I became sick after eating at the Italian restaurant, Im not sure what I ate, it wasnt the salad bar or water since my friend had the same and was fine, but I was sick for about 24hrs which put a damper on my trip. Luckily it cleared up quickly. Overall the food in the Italian restaurant wasnt great, the quality wasnt good and it made us reluctant to try another restaurant, however, the Mexican restaurant became our favorite for the rest of the trip, everything we ate there was delicious and didnt give me stomach issues! The buffet was okay too but sometimes there was excessive oil in the food.

The hotel is nice and huge territory. I love that animals are freely passing by. Food was good the best restaurant was by the sea. Big variety of food and nice programs in the hotel

At the reception they didnt say anything where is our room how to find it not even gave us a map just gave us a bracelet. Then we realised that a heavy sales is working at every house to sell you loyalta program pushing you for breakfast with staff for which you have to pay deposit to book a table in the hotel which is all inclusive so noone should pay for a table anyway. Then in the beach next bully is the photographer who follows everyone in the water to make photos of you all day what you can buy later then when you want some relax at the beach another sales gang is coming to purchase boat tickets to coco bongo club. They wont leave until you say yes. This heavy sales is super annoying who goes there to party will find the opportunity and ask who wants to relax shouldnt be disturbed.

The staff were in incredible. But the room AC wasn't very cooling. The food was good but staff could have advised us on check in that we have until 1 pm on check out day for access so we missed out.

It take aprox 1.5 hrs to check in the staf wss really rude the place is about 5 miles from the entrance and the signal to get there are non existent not even GPS can find it no buss center no chairs in the room not good at all nice place needs management!!!!

I dont like the place for what they charge i expexted better!!
