Playa Del Carmen is negligibly crowded in the months of April and May. You can get great deals on your stay, except for Easter Week and Spring Equinox when Mexicans rush here for a getaway. The town is prone to Hurricanes and/or heavy rains from June to September. Tourists cascade in the winter months from October to March, as a result of which the prices hike up ferociously.
