As this is hotel converted from a haveli, location could be in a little conjested area since its in the old city. Dinning menu is quite limited. Toiletries can be improved

Really nice, accomodating and fun

People were amazing, good authentic experience, had so much fun!

Had troubles with tv and starting hot water but were sorted quickly by the staff. It does get very loud and at night with dogs and cars outside but I think thats just India

We were not impressed

The location was very good. The rooms are very big. And the staff was useful with certain things. They helped us with the laundry with a car to go to our next destination and picked us up at the train station when we arrived.

I didn't like the manager, he lied to me multiple times and he did not offer the breakfast at the price that was mentioned on booking. When I showed him my booking confirmation he said it was a mistake and we had to buy breakfast a la carte which was way too expensive for the quality and the place. When we arrived we had a terrible smell of fresh paint in both our rooms but especially in one. We managed to change a room the next day but had a terrible first night because when we arrived those were the only rooms available. Also there was a lot of work going on in the hotel and there was a lot of dust and paint smell in many areas. The terrace was out of use completely as it was being used as a working ground with debris and broken staff kept there The price was way too high for what we got considering the state of the place. The furniture and the appliances are old and in general the finish of the hotel is not pleasing. Our sink in the toilet was not working well and would not switch off. When we requested for it to be fixed the staff only came and closed the water flow from a switch under the sink, so to wash our hands we had to every time go under the sink to switch the water on and then use the sink.

Good location and atmosphere, but no option for single beds (thought offered).

Location is good. Nice roof terrace, good terrace / lobby on ground floor and atmosphere. Food is also good.

We booked 2 single beds with airco, but this is not possible in this hotel (but they offered). In the end we had an extra mattress on the ground in the room.

Great location, near major sightseeing attractions, cosy and great ambience

Best staff, special thanks to Vicky/Vikram. Made us feel at home, smooth check in, lots of information given, what to see/when, best times etc. He went over and above and helped me when I was feeling slightly under the weather. Live music each night provided fab entertainment and even nicer to see patrons from other hotels coming in to enjoy the live music band. Hats off to the singers and musicians with authentic Rajasthani talent - they deserve to be recognised and hope to hear them again

Breakfast wasn't clarified if included or not. Was told it wasn't then told it was so we ate, then told wasn't so we ended up paying on check out. They should have honoured their error in misinforming us before we dined for the first breakfast (by second one we were told to pay which we accepted beforehand)

What a beautiful place, completely different to your normal hotels. Great room and large. Once again the staff were exceptional. In the heart of the old town.

Meals or drinks purchased had to be paid for and couldnt go on your room account. Breakfast was limited as veg based and no eggs

A lot of things wrong in an otherwise potentially decent stay

A decent concept hotel which is truly an actual Haveli which is 500 years old. The roof in the room is tall and they have a functional bathtub. The in-house restaurant is great if you are pure vegetarian. They have live Rajasthani music playing downstairs which is a vibe on its own. The lobby is picturesque and terrace has a good view of the fort.

First of all, do not get SCAMMED by the first picture they have added on Google and here. For someone who has little to no experience, it might seem like that is the Haveli you will stay in. The picture is actually a close up view of Mehrangad Fort and has nothing to do with this hotel. Its a CLICKBAIT. Secondly, go with the mindset of going in a super low budget lodge or a street hotel ( although the pricing can match a 4 star hotel). The concept of front desk is non-existent. They do not even have a landline to call someone. You have to take the number of the helper and call his cellphone to ask for any service or assistance. Its the last hotel you should pick if you have a family with older people as they have steep stairs that are constantly wet and slippery and there is no elevator. Lastly, if you are unfortunate enough to get the top floor room (112) they have newly constructed, be prepared to accept that you will not receive a wifi connection no matter how they play it. There is also a consistent smell from the sewer that flows into the bathroom and then to the bedroom. It almost smells like GUTTER and when it gets into your nose you cannot let it pass. The reason given to us was that its a normal thing for a new hotel and we can open the windows ( thus inviting the mosquitos in). Also if you are thinking they have a nice bathtub note that the bathtub is too narrow to fit anyone who is not slim. Also good luck if you need to use bathtub with hot water as the water heater they have provided is basically meant for a small home and it will probably run out of its capacity well before you even fill 25% of the tub. The front desk or the counter guy will talk to you as if he is doing a favor to you by offering the upstairs room. The concept was good but the stay itself was below par and forgettable for me.
