Wonderful, relaxing stay at Fort Canning

Everyone from the reception, to dinner and breakfast was courteous, caring and professional. The bedroom was a good size as was the adjoining lounge / office. The bed is huge and very comfortable. Fantastic after a long flight. The bathroom with large soaking tub and large shower was well appointed, well maintained and very comfortable. The restaurant in which we enjoyed dinner and breakfast is a lovely area to sit (inside or outside). The dinner menu is extensive with Asian dishes and western dishes. This service was superb.

Nothing really (except as with most things in Singapore the price quoted for meals, drinks etc does not include a hefty service charge and then a number of taxes.) Just be aware to add approx. 20 -25% on to your calculations. It's just the way it is!!

Not too bad for ROM appointment and tea ceremony

The location is lovely if you like being in nature. My partner and I stayed here two nights for a simple wedding at the ROM and a tea ceremony in the room with immediate family. It was a good choice for a fuss free wedding, with a shoot in the morning, the ROM appointment in the evening and a dinner in the Somerset area. I recommend picking a Premium room on the third floor and an adjoining Deluxe room for family stays. The Premium rooms on the second floor are lacklustre - dark, with no view (even though it says "Garden view"). The city view rooms are the ones that have the nicer view, but those are all Deluxe rooms with the toilet/bathroom area facing the courtyard.

The hotel has false marketing on booking.com and on their website. Be careful with what is billed as the 'garden view' of the Premium rooms as the rooms on the 2nd story do not have much of a garden view. It's more like a view of a grass slope, the road to the lobby and a shed. I would have been really upset had a room on the third floor not been available.

Overall, our stay was excellent and was what we had hoped for. Quiet and tranquil surrounds and a good location close to restaurants (Clarke Quay) and Transport (MRT)

We had a Park View Room. Did not enjoy having to lower the blinds all the time because of the two-way nature of the windows. We wanted a room with a view of the Park but we did not appreciate we would need to share the view with passing pedestrians looking back at us.

Its located town area, friendly staff and quiet environment which is nice to stay and rilex.

The toilet partician which i feel is small to use the toilet bowl. Sliperry marble. Tv remote control most of the time can't use

Poorly maintained not 5 star at all. Photos on website do NOT reflect the reality.

Beautiful location

Poorly maintained, weeds around the pool, no covers for pool loungers (told by staff to use two towels), rotting boards in the external walkways, which is a safety issue, ripped couches in the bar area. Room was comfortable thankfully and breakfast good. Lights on internal stairs cast shadows so difficult to see where you are stepping which is a trip hazard.

Great location. Lots of hills and slopes but within great reach of Orchard road and Clarke quay

Hotel reception manager Manzoor is quite possibly the rudest human I have ever met. My husband actually had to step in and ask that he stop interrupting me and start showing some respect. A lovely lady called Ruby came and helped us out and thank god for her .
