Exceptional

Fabulous treat

Fabulous in every way. We felt like Lord and lady of the Manor. Lovely homely feel, staff very attentive and friendly. I was glad we booked dinner in the restaurant as bar is small and looked like people had to wait but it was the new years eve weekend so to be expected. There was great attention to detail. The bed was so comfy we slept in and rooms must have been well soundproofed.

Definitely not a Christmas Cracker

Beds were very comfortable and rooms were nicely decorated

Very dreary setting, on arrival no Christmas ambiance, no fires lighting, , very little Christmas decorations, not very festive. Furniture cluttering every nook and cranny, bedroom very small, breakfast on both occasions was cold, tea and coffee cold. Cellar bar/ restaurant not anyway relaxing or welcoming, no ambiance, very sterile. The Christmas Country House Experience was so very disappointing.

Very good

Good hotel close to Killarney.

The food was very good. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice.

The site is a bit spread out and the hotel is hard to navigate. The bar is too small with few seats and was very hot when we were there with no air conditioning.

Very good

A charming and cozy stay in Killarney

Turning into the long driveway was a magical introduction to the Cahernane house. It felt like I was arriving at a manor. The check-in experience was easy and my room was fantastic. While it was too cold to enjoy, there was a little bistro table outside of my room alongside some cows. The grounds are beautiful and the location is amazing the perfect start to my ring of Kerry journey. It's a bit far from downtown Killarney (to walk) but there's good shopping and pubs in downtown.

The building is cozy and large, but some of the common spaces felt a bit outdated/not very welcoming. I liked to stay in my room vs. spend time in the lobby. Also, the Cellar Bar was a bit slow and not as good as I anticipated.

Beautiful house and location

Very beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The room was great and so were the rest of the facilities. Breakfast was very tasty too. Definitely recommended!

Absolutely amazing

The warm welcome the gorgeous food and our room was beautiful. I have been through cancer treatment this year and this was our first trip the surroundings were so relaxing I was able to rest and recharge. The hotel is stunning, the little extras card from staff on arrival & note on the bed from lady who made up our bed. The staff went beyond to make sure we looked after, the dinner that evening in the bar again perfect and Todd was really a great to us. Thank you all for making our stay wonderful , Karen
