The big movie was a perfect tribute to the theme of the hostel. My gratitude to whoever set that up. The air conditioning attracted some very hot young ladies who wished to cool off. The guitar staff left for anyone to play were very much appreciated in the living room was a great assortment of streaming services with couches reminding me of a very fine 60's style gentlemen's club near the city that makes a killer ol'fashion. Overall a memorable time. If there were six stars in the rating I would rate it five stars in tribute to the five floors

Some primative patron decided to shower without the curtain closed and as a result turned the bathroom into Louisiana. Luckily the staff were onto it very quickly. Unlike other hostels the water didn't run out even during busy hours which was very refreshing given how cold Sydney can be to males not featuring on Hollywoods red carpet. Aircon was well regulated and cool.

Great value hostel

The location: it is close to the center, just a short walk from the City Hall and 20min walk to the Opera House. It takes 45min to get to the Beaches (Bondi or Coogee). The rooms are spacious, with big lockers. It is more a Working Holiday Visa hostel than a Backpackers hostel: most people are hosted there for the first weeks (or months) until they find a job and/or accommodation and can leave it.

It got very expensive in the last week of the year, so it got empty of people. Some days it was too crowded and people are not always as respectful as they should be: noisy and not clean in the common areas (kitchen, toilets and living room). The staff does a great job to keep everything relatively good.
