Excellence, and so much more

We cant say enough about how much we appreciate the Batty Langley experience and the tremendous character of this hotel and staff. Simply fantastic. We stayed one night, then walked Hadrians Wall up north for a week, and returned for 5 more nights of rest in our beautiful Margaret Wollstonecraft room. Incredible people. Incredible location close to Liverpool Street Station, Spitalfields, and so much more. We have enjoyed the Rookery, too, their partner over in Farringdon. Both simply awesome. This group is our go to for London hospitality. We are so grateful. Thank you!

Perfect Christmas visit with a beautiful Dickensian vibe.

Loved everything about the property, the Dickensian styling. Atmosphere, location, cleanliness. Felt like the perfect venue for a Christmas stay!

I liked everything about the property, I just wish there were a few more on site facilities and the bar was a bit better. I wasnt a fan of serve service and wouldve like the atmosphere of a cocktail bar/ service. Even a bar menu to make cocktails wouldve been a nice touch. I found the availability on spirits a tad underwhelming. Some music based events wouldve been nice.

So dreamy and quintessentially British!

Batty Langley's was one of the highlights of our trip! We only stayed for 2 nights, but it was so great, we wished we stayed longer. We got upgraded to a suite (it was our honeymoon) and it was everything and more. The lobby and all the living rooms were well appointed and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. We had breakfast in bed each morning (which was delicious!) and got tea in the evenings. We definitely spent most of the day out of the hotel, exploring London / Shoreditch (and we were close to several tube stops) but couldn't wait both nights to get home to our room. It was updated, but had the feeling of an original old home and the bed was very comfortable. Given we don't have a bathtub at home, I loved having that little luxury for a couple days. Our last morning we contemplated "missing" our flight just so we could stay longer. We will 1000% stay here again and if you're considering staying here, you will not be disappointed!

Favourite place in London for a special trip

Another wonderful stay at Batty Langley's. Wonderful staff who make you feel very at home, we were given an upgrade on arrival.

Our room did not have a bath tub (which I had been expected after previous stays) but I did not specifically request one so can't complain. I will know for next time that not all rooms have them.
