Fabulous and very comfortable

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. It was a lovely touch to have a complimentary mini bar. The bathrooms were a good size. A heated pool made it comfortable for young children to swim at any time of the day and the gym was very well equipped. The staff went above and beyond expectation to make our stay comfortable and memorable.

The pool at the weekends got very busy.

Definitely a stay that didnt reflect the price paid for a single night.

The foyer.

Poor street access for pedestrians. Faulty air conditioning in room 535. Reported and attended to within the hour. Large volume of condensate drained from the system by the maintenance technician. System worked for a few hours before the same fault returned. Being told that I would enjoy a 25% discount by the check in clerk and then discovering at Lucca restaurant that discount didnt apply to that restaurant. Restaurant waitress decided to charge to my room in order to apply a guest discount. Restaurant called my room and said we cannot charge your room as you dont have any credit left Can I bring my machine to your room so that you can pay for your meal? Ill stick to Double Tree and Marriott in future. This never happened when we stayed with them in more than 30 countries.
