Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi - Overnight Stay

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be greeted by a representative from the tour company.
You will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and have the rest of the day at leisure to relax and recover from your journey.
Overnight stay in Nairobi.

Day 2 Transfer to Amboseli - First Game Drive

After breakfast, you will depart Nairobi and head towards Amboseli National Park, known for its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and check-in.
In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in Amboseli National Park, which is famous for its large elephant herds and other wildlife.
Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge in Amboseli.

Day 3 Amboseli - Full Day Wildlife Safari & Overnight Stay

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in Amboseli National Park, taking advantage of the best lighting conditions for photography.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast.
Depart Amboseli and proceed to the Kenyan-Tanzanian border, where you will clear customs and immigration procedures.
Continue your journey to the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
Arrive at your lodge in time for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 Transfer to Lake Naivasha - Boat Safari & Crescent Island

After breakfast, depart from the Mt. Kilimanjaro region and head to Lake Naivasha.
Arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch at your lodge.
In the afternoon, take a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you can spot hippos, various bird species, and other wildlife.
After the boat ride, you may choose to visit Crescent Island, a private game sanctuary, for a guided walking safari.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 Transfer to Masai Mara - Game Drive

After an early breakfast, depart from Lake Naivasha and drive to the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve.
Arrive at your lodge in the Masai Mara in time for lunch and check-in.
In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the Masai Mara, home to abundant wildlife, including the famous Big Five (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhinoceros).
Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge in the Masai Mara.

Day 6 Masai Mara - Full Day Wildlife Safari

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in the Masai Mara, an optimal time to witness predators in action.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the rest of the morning at leisure.
In the afternoon, head out for another exciting game drive in the Masai Mara, exploring different areas of the reserve.
Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge in the Masai Mara.

Day 7 Return to Nairobi - Departure

After breakfast, check out from your lodge and depart from the Masai Mara.
Drive back to Nairobi, where you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your desired location in the city.
This marks the end of your Masai Mara and Mt. Kilimanjaro package.

Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.
