TownePlace Suites Marriott Long Island City is a lovely hotel close to restaurants, the train into Manhattan and has comfy, clean rooms with a friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay here.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Comfortable clean room. Proximity to NYC

Area around hotel is kind of sketch. All nigh, there was some strange tapping noise going on. It sounded like someone was hammering metal. It sounded like internal noise vs. street noise. It kept us awake all night.

The breakfast was great.

The bathroom looked like one for old and disabled people, very unsexy. The shower curtain was too short and after showering the whole bathroom was wet. We reported this and no staff did anything to fix the problem.
