Excellent stay, in a friendly and beautiful location

The Wakanda was exactly like the images shown - it was beautiful! The staff were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble for them. The restaurant was lovely, great food, and they had entertainment on a weekly basis which was fab. The staff called Aris, Ayu Nusa and Yanti were particularly lovely - extremely friendly and always happy to stop and chat and make sure everything was ok. They were super easy to communicate with on Whatsapp and answered within a minute or two, always. They provide a shuttle bus as they are outside the city centre by about 15 mins, and you can Whatsapp them for a taxi and they will always pick you up after the last shuttle. They offfer yoga and rice field walks and a waterfall trek and have a spa. Highly recommend this place, it really is stunning and you will be well taken care of.

More details on local things to do and information on tours they can provide. When I asked about guided tours they provided me with a taxi price list for locations. Without any knowledge on sights in each of the locations, or how close they were to each other, this didn't help me. So I found a tour guide on tripadviser. But then two of the hotel drivers asked me why I didn't do tours with them as they were guides? I explained I happily would have done this, but the hotel don't provide any real details on tour packages, things to do and where, they only provide a price list for each location. If they offer full details on guided tours this could help other guests.

Tranquil and beautiful overall

The landscaping, design of the whole resort is very calming pleasing and warms the soul. The yoga shala 360 view is wonderful and spa is great too. Good size pool with serene view of padi field. Staff well trained and offer great service. Spa is a must try.

The rooms design not a fan of the open concept WC. Personally, prefer a separate private WC for hygiene reasons. The bed is not comfortable. Mattress is hard, pillows are too soft, duvet is soft and dampy-feel. Not a good night sleep. The aircon gives us itchy sinus when we wake up. Room has a weird unpleasant smell, so we took the initiative to burn incense a few rounds to mellowed down the unpleasant smell of the room. Yoga teacher is inexperienced and this easily can be improved with practice and guidance.

The insects and reptiles are many but i think that is normal as the place inside rice fields and lots of gardens

It is a charming, romantic place next to rice fields. In November it was calm and quiet. One feels welcome and safe. The place looks just like in pictures, rooms are spacious. It's beautiful. Amazing, friendly staff, ready to help in any respect. In particular, I'd like to mention thoughtful Aris whom I thank for his hospitality, but honestly, everyone was doing their best.

The lovely calm location is also further than you might think from the town of Ubud. There is a free hotel shuttle, which is great, however, in crowded months it can take forever. I was using scooter taxis which were more efficient... as long as it didn't rain :)

I loved it there. I am a solo traveller. The staff is so nice I got the chance to meet Aris and Adi who help me during my stay. The breakfast is amazing and the pool side is so relaxing. The room is very clean and spacious. They offer a drop off to Ubud center free of charge.
