I did request to check out 1 day earlier, original checked out date is Jan 1st, 2024, but we checked out on Dec 31, I sent email to both Moran and booking .com but no one replies to my email requested.

I would stay again was extremely beautiful day and night

It was Very beautiful and friendly even at night time.

The toilets sometime wouldnt flush and the sink would fill up and take forever to drain

Excellent stay in City Center. Great for couples.

Clean, modern hotel in a great location. We stayed here for a date night and it's a great value with all the nearby food, bars, movie theater, etc. Free breakfast was really nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent where the package of location, restaurants and hotel quality is hard to beat in Houston

If you travel to Houston and are looking for a place to stay where you have a good selection of restaurants and shopping within walking distance from the hotel, I would highly recommend looking at the Citycentre where Beltway 8 intersects with I10. In this area, The Moran is an excellent option to stay. I have used this hotel for 10+ years and always come back. The hotel was a little bit "shinier" some years back, but the package of location, facilities, restaurants and hotel quality is hard to beat in Houston.

The hotel has changes name over the years, but very little renovation has been conducted. It is still a very good hotel, but maybe it is time to freshen up some parts of the hotel?
