A great option for spending the night in Santa Cruz

Staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very nice and room was clean.

The room was small and spartan. It's a walk to downtown or the beach.

Location

Check in was rude , more concerned with knowing about the family we were meeting for dinner who had a dog and someone who smoked outside . Never gave food recommendations and lost the parent of a freshman at UC Santa Cruz .

Nice bed, clean sheets. Quiet.

Owner or whoever was at the desk was very rude and aggressive when we asked about the check in time since the online information said 2 pm and later a confirmation said 4 pm. He said the online services always lied and didn't care about the hotel/motels at all. Only the minimal of towels and NO coffee maker or coffee/tea/cups. Clean and nice, but everything was as minimal as possible. Because of office manager's attitude and no coffee maker, would not stay here again. Would pay more to go else.
