Ok stay for a place with grand potential!

The hotel was nice, but was short of being good. Rooms were nice, but there was always uncertainty on what room you'll get depending on where you booked from. Folks who booked Tui got a different lower category and those directly got different. This ambiguity is not something I want in a relaxing holiday. While it was all inclusive, there were quite a few ridiculous add ons.. Like 200USD for Bali beds for the day. Or 200USD massages. The problem was all of these were negotiable. You could get lobsters for 80USD or 25USD depending on who you spoke to. As an all inclusive I don't want the headache of negotiating. I want it fixed and I am happy to pay if I see value. Our family was EPIC and was pointless. Everything that was promised was either pointless, or things like laundry etc. not provided. Collectively we booked nearly 12kUSD worth and we would never recommend it. The beach was nice, but not swimmable as below the blue water was seaweed, tree trunks, rocks and very sharp stones etc. If you swim you'll be able to hover over these and go across, but you can't take kids in. Then the ridiculous add ons like 12USD Coconuts or 80USD Lobster were just ridiculous. Besides the money, everything just lacked. The restaurants were nice, but there was always something missing.. Burgers but no fries, tacos but no guac or salsa. The quality of beef was particularly poor unless you paid for a premium steak. The resort is out of playa del carmen,. No taxi will come or take you unless you pay crazy prices. Pick and drops are 90USD each way by Hotel, but 43USD if you book yourself. I think this place has great potential. With relentless tipping you can get great service. The staff are excellent. Shame they have to rely on tips and not salaries. Nearly every room in our 6-7 room booking had something or the other breaking. 3 out of our party were unwell and throwing up, but the others were fine.

The extras which were ridiculously random and expensive. 190USD for Bali beds, 12USD for coconuts, 80USD for Lobster.. I mean these are more expensive than New york Location of the resort is totally isolated. Beach is nice but tough to swim. Tipping everywhere!

There was a lot of cross contamination of not cleaning the utensils before moving onto someone elses food. There was a lot of flying pest flies and knits everywhere on the open bar foods.

The hotel is nice and has many facilities. Staff is great as well.

I booked a room with access to terrace but it wasnt available when we got there. We had to move to that room two days after our arrival which disrupted the vacation vibes. They offered the upgrade for free which compensated in a way.

The property is beautiful and the gardens and spaces are beautifully maintained! Food preparation is world class and the staff serving the food are attentive and helpful. Beds were comfortable and serviced daily to a high standard.

Checked in by the little guest services and found process inefficient. Our room was also not ready and came back twice which not great . Had to change room as was by energy pool and second room was good for us not being in a noisy spot

Beautiful location, lovely place.

Beautiful resort with plenty of pools and restaurants! Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The beach is stunning!

The signage around the resort could be improved. Most nights I spent upwards of 20+ minutes looking for my villa as they all look the same and only have one sign on one side of the building. The buildings are getting a touch old and are starting to show their age: leaking roof, no running water while they repaired a heater. Room service was good but took so long you would have been better off to go find something yourself.

Loved my stay and look forward to returning in the future!

Let me started with - this review is not sponsored and being written entirely honest from my trip in September 2023 that I paid for myself. The property was very clean, welcoming, and private feeling compared to other resorts. Having the mix of beach and jungle theme was amazing! Private area for adults and separate areas for families was a nice touch to accommodate all types of guests. This resort offered entertainment in the evenings of live music, dancing, and outside vendors. As well as tennis courts, games, and areas to relax and take in the amazing landscaping everywhere. The food was great! No complaints at all! For lunch Breeze Burger, Love Pizza, and Chechen y Chak spots near the beach and the Natura Day Club restaurant by the adults only pool were all equally delicious! For dinner Arezzo - The Italian restaurant was top tier (staff was so so nice!) and the buffet restaurants Flavours and La Brasserie offered tons of varieties! As a whole, for the size of the resort there were so many options for food at most times which was nice. No place ever seemed overpacked! The room itself - I stayed in Villa 19 near the adults only pool and the suite was amazing. Rooms were modern, spacious, and extremely clean! The staff actually went to the extent of hanging a birthday sign and balloons in my room before I arrived which was so kind! I was so pleased with the room that sometimes I even preferred relaxing there instead of going out which should say a lot! - dont forget to tip your cleaning staff because they truly go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and taken care of. To recap - Besides the minor check-in issue of being charged twice for my prepaid room (it was refunded) my stay was one of the bests Ive had and I would 100% return. The staff was incredibly kind from the reception, servers, bar tenders, cleaning staff, and villa ambassadors! (Shout out to Alan from villa 19 making sure I had anything I needed)!

- The only issue I really encountered was upon check in the rep charged my card even though my booking was prepaid. The refund process wasnt the smoothest, I had to follow up a few times and the refund itself took some time (over 10 days) to get back. But I will say, everyone was mostly kind through this process. But if you arent on top of your charges, it would have been hard to notice. - The beach wasnt necessarily beach front, but I dont mind a short private walk with scenery of the jungle and wildlife! Actually preferred it so not a con at all but wished I knew prior to booking! - Sometimes the restaurant schedules didnt match what was advertised so there were a couple meals that I struggled finding a place open which was odd.
