Family Hotel that puts families on the side

The common areas are very well maintained, staff was nice and food was good in most restaurants. Entrance to non residents of the family club is not allowed in kids areas.

The princess family club Riviera is supposed to be made for families with little ones. Nevertheless, it was sad to see that it is not prepared for the parents to enjoy the maximum of their holidays: kids restaurant has awful food, kids swimming pool has no bar nor food, no evening kids show, almost never saw the animation team, etc. We selected that hotel especially because it was a family friendly hotel but once in there you realize that they don't really care about families nor their comfort. Last but not least, the daily clean up in the room was very badly made/superficial and we never had it clean again after the first day.

The facilities are suitable for children, and the staff is super friendly, especially Karla (Concierge), Rocio (Reception), and Ricardo (RH Family Club) you rock guys.

The service at the snack bar is not good, and the food at the pirate buffet leaves a lot to be desired even though it is a restaurant focused on children.

Great family vacation

Fantastic stay with the kids. The separate family buffet and pools are much quieter so much more enjoyable, yet you can access all the amenities of this huge resort. We only stayed a few nights but we really enjoyed it - all staff was kind and friendly, the food was good and the grounds were very clean.

The cocktails were just ok, it's more about quantity rather than quality I felt

Ok resort, would never come back

The resort itself is massive, and the grounds are very well maintained, the staff, for the most part, is friendly. BUT expect to have tips handy if you want them really be friendly. I honestly enjoyed the resort, but its like any other all-inclusive, it's a cattle call everywhere you go, people everywhere, the buffets are ok, lots of choices all like a 6 out of 10. The ala cart restaurants are nice, and the food is good. All in the all the report is decent, and the kids had fun

As for why I would never come back here, there are a few reasons. #1 it's just too crowded, and it's 100% NOT worth the price you pay. This was not cheap, and it's a pretty low-level all-inclusive. The biggest issue was, we "rented/borrowed" a little car to push my daughter around in, it was in pretty rough shape, and they make you fill out a form with a photo showing the issues with the car when you get it. I tried to document all I could, on the way back from the pool that day, the wheel just fell off it, and we did not notice til we got back. I took it back to get it looked at, and they got very defensive, telling me I would be paying for a new car, etc. I tried to explain what happened, but the concierge lady was only a complete B**CH. Very rude, not understanding at all. She kept pointing to the contract I signed. Finally, I said can I see it, I need to read it again. I took it, ripped it up in front of her, and threw it away. I didn't want to get kicked out yet, we had 2 days left so I had my wife go back, and give her the room number. When we checked out, they tried to charge us $300 for a car that at most was $100 brand new. I told them, look you can charge that and the extra room service, etc, and I will dispute the entire extra charge, and win, or you can not charge me for the car, and ill gladly pay for the other stuff. They refused. I of course was able to successfully dispute the entire charge and got my money back. Honestly, at the end of 8 days, I could not wait to leave. My advice is don't stay here if you do rent a car so you can go do other things.
