Exceptional

Amanda & her team were great. We had wonderful rooms, with comfy beds & a lovely view across the water. The location was perfect for our two night stay with lots of restaurants close by & the light rail pretty much at our door step.

Honestly, we love this hotel but our last to visits have been very average.

Staff attending to the room were lovely and efficent.

Rooms were close together in the end but only after complaining and requesting to speak with the manager. We also had an email confirming with our booking that the rooms would be together/interconnecting. Apparently there were not notes on file! The beds were not made correctly, sheets did not fit the bed, No sheet at the feet end!!! Not hygienic at all. And my husband is 6'2" tall. That was horrible! Both 401 and 402 were made like this. Floors weren't clean and there was hair on furniture. Room 401 could do with a big bleach clean in the shower. Also amenities were not replenished daily, eg toilet paper. The TV didn't work in 401 on the first day/night. No one could explain why. We were told 'at least you have another room to watch the TV in' (not helpful!) On day 2, an engineer guy came to the room and found it had been unplugged! He literally fixed it in 2 mins. Booking the restaurant for dinner was difficult. The hotel reception couldn't help and the App didn't work for us.. We tried to book over the phone twice but were told they just take walk ins. Well when we walked in at 6.45pm we were told there was no availability until 8pm! Not what you want to hear when you have children and experienced all these other issues. After expressing our disappointment once again, a table was finally found and things improved.

Very good

Breakfast was amazing. So much variety to choose from. Coffees made to order were included in the cost.

Noise from people upstairs each and every night. Made for difficulty falling asleep.

Disappointing

Great time but the Novotel needs an update.

Great location and amazing view for the fireworks.

The pool needs to be updated The bathrooms needs to be updated Breakfast cost a lot but you were only allowed one barista made coffee per person! We also were sitting in the lobby and looked up at the ceiling and noticed mould all over the roof and aircon unit. A little disappointing considering the price we paid.

Novotel stay

Location. Staff on the floor were very courteous, attentive and helpful

- the facilities. Rooms were extremely small. We had booked via third party and described the no of total family staying the beds were not suited for overweight adults - double bed. - swimming pool was extremely disappointing after our awesome experience at Novotel Phuket and Bangkok. It was too small. - daily breakfast buffet while had multiple choices for continental cuisine.... there was minimal options for Indian pallette. Limited vegan options. No variation. We stayed for 6 days and only thing that changed was between potato wedges and gems.
