Very helpful staff

Excellent location, also as it is in the alleyway it is reasonably quiet compared to the street. They helped us book our Ha Long Bay tour - we did this through Le Journey and it was exactly what we were expecting and more. The room is spacious and air con works well. We ended up staying again when we returned from Ha Long bay, thanks!

There is music that can be heard from the room until about 11pm, but then stops. Presume it's a nearby bar? Also bathroom could be renovated a bit as it's a bit worn down

Delightful small hotel with bags of character

I found this place really charming, and very good value for the price. Its quite a grand old building, with high ceilings, wood-panelled rooms and (in the case of most rooms) little balconies overlooking the neighbours - all of which gives it (in my view) more character than youd find in other hotels on a similar budget. In some places you can see signs of age but to me that just added to the character. I also liked that in order to get there you had to go through a tiny alley, past a big family who lived next door and were often dining or putting up laundry outside! Really feels like youre tucked away from the tourist crowds, even though youre right in the heart of the Old Quarter. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spotlessly clean There are limited facilities and services as youd expect for this price, but you can get laundry done, and even though the staff dont speak much English they were super friendly and helpful (allowed me to leave my bags with them for hours before check-in and after check-out etc) In my opinion definitely the place to stay if youre looking for an affordable hotel in Hanoi centre!

Disappointing

Location on a quite place in the city center.

Apartment was very dirty everything, we had filling that no one clean it from a previous guest visit and it us not about mold, we are talking about the DUST. The biggest problem was that I have asked personal to clean our room by the Whats App chat but no one answer not recommended even for this price.

This is a rare find in the beating heart of the city, a quiet corner tucked in a tiny alley. The rooms were nice, the staff was lovely, nothing to complain about

Superb value in the Old Quarter

Perfect location in the heart of the Old Quarter close to everything but set back from the road so it's still quiet. Great WiFi, spacious room, helpful staff (always happy to use Google translate if needed to answer questions) Stayed late to check us in from our late flight. Illuminated sign above the door made it easy to find

Great little gem of a place!

Everything! We booked the guesthouse after some issues with our first hotel, and it was a great decision. A very nice place hidden behind the busy and noisy streets of Hanoi. The walk through the alley is super charming! The staff was extremely friendly and helped with whatever we had. The rooms were big and clean. Everything you needed, was there. Will always recommend this guesthouse and we will definitely be staying here when we come back to Hanoi.

We would stay again in the Hanoi Hidden Guesthouse

We enjoyed our stay quite a lot. Basically I we are looking back on our two weeks stay in Cambodia, Laos, Viet Nam this would be the guesthouse we will remember.

Quite touristic area at the Hon Kim Lake - nevertheless the Guesthouse is located in a small street - so the other tourists are at least a few 10 meters away :-)

Great stay in Hanoi

- Location; quiet area thats only a short walk to the lake and other main areas. Great dessert place opposite. Ignore comments about the alleyway, its really not that bad. You wan past a restaurant and into the courtyard - not scary at all! - Very friendly family - Comfortable bed - Good AC - Great sized room with a desk and chair - TV - Water available from reception

- Hot water; we didnt have hot water for a few days because we werent aware of a hot water switch - there needs to be a sign for this to avoid the problem - A gecko in the old AC unit kept us up for a couple of nights - Property Policy details state cash only, so I went out of my way to do 2 cash withdrawals, only to find that we could have actually paid by card. This needs updating
