Hidden quiet beauty within the heart of Hanoi

Beautiful property in a quieter area of Hanoi but still within easy distance of the Old Quarter with all it's madness. Nghia was a fantastic host, very accommodating and quick to answer any questions I had via WhatsApp and just a nice person to talk to - great communication.

Perfect in many way!

My room was beautiful, the kitchen had everything that I needed, the rooftop had wonderful view. The Indochine vibe was so charming. It was a perfect place to spent your vacation. I will definitely come back

absolutely wonderful!

the house is a beautiful oasis from the wild streets of Hanoi. it is well located - close to the old quarter, but not right in the thick of things. there is a nice park nearby, as well. the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. the very best thing about Tonkin House, however, it Kate, the absolutely wonderful hostess. she went above and beyond to ensure that we had a lovely stay and her recommendations about all things Ha Noi were spot on!

Host make stay so welcome, that it's not compare to anything. Most kind person I ever saw. Apartment and house are lovely, the bath is gorgeous. Not exactly touristic location, but in the middle of all interesting spots

You can't skip this guesthouse if you visit the area !

Everything really. Honestly , I never experienced this level of hospitality in HN before. I really enjoyed the effort that they put in here , even they put the candle/incense on before I entered the room. Kate was really really helpful and she made sure I was content with everything with her effortless communication. I also enjoyed the conversation about the history of this house too. well done, Kate! This place is really memorable. it's situated in a busy street , few steps away from cool bakeries and coffee shops. but You won't hear a thing from the street in this room. The whole house is well taken care of and clean. I love everything that I saw from their common areas like the hallway , the seating area until their dining and kitchen. Everything is meticulously decorated. I also admire the room that I stayed in. it's using wabi-sabi concept and I think they succeed it. It's well lit in every corner that made me feel at ease right away with perfect selection of warm material and color. The patio was nice and clean as well.

I would appreciate if they could think a way to climb the tub in more safety way , since the tub is thick and high. maybe a handle/ grab bar to help maintaining the balance while standing or maneuvering.
