The apartment was beautifully decorated in a quirky, individual style which gave it a lovely homely feel, rather than the stark minimalism of many hotel rooms. The settees and beds were very comfortable, the facilities included everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped. There were toiletry items provided similar to those in a hotel, water in the fridge and several other useful kitchen store cupboard items. The bedrooms were both a good size, one double and one (I think) 3/4 (small double) bed. This was perfect for us as we were a party of 3. As other people have mentioned, the apartment is set over 3 floors with the entrance and kitchen on the ground; living room and bathroom on the first floor; and 2 bedrooms on the second floor. It was amazing to have so much space located so centrally in London, also with the convenience of a tube station (Pimlico) just across the road.

The property has a homely feel and is pretty well-equipped with what you need. It was clean and was light and airy. During the cold days the heat was on so the temperature was perfect. Having a back yard to sit out in is a bonus in London, but this yard is not suitable for children (gravel only). It is very private though which is nice. As it rained almost the whole trip I was unable to appreciate it fully. The property is located one minute away (literally opposite the property) from Pimlico tube station on the Victoria line and is in a quiet residential area making it a very good location. There was some food in some of the cupboards obviously left by the previous tenants. More in the way of spices, instant coffee, tea bags, ... that sort of thing. Nothing that would spoil or go off. So, before you go shopping have a look at what is there, e.g. spices, vinegar, coffee, etc. There was nothing in the fridge though. Would have been nice to have some (powdered) milk and sugar - just for a fist cuppa. Had a black coffee anyway. I would recommend this homely flat to fit and able adults. I don't think it is suitable for the aged or for young children (stairs are too steep and dangerous). I do have to mention that I wanted to arrive 2 days earlier, but was unable to change the dates on the booking.com website and although I emailed the flat 'owners' regarding this they never replied, so I had to book the two extra nights on their own as a separate booking. Not good!

I arrived at the property at 7 p.m. to find nobody there. It was also pouring with rain. I phoned the number of the 'owner' (company running it) to get: if ... press ... and didn't get through to anyone no matter what I pressed. I then phoned booking.com as I booked the flat through them. At least someone answered here. They checked what was wrong and told me I was sent an email to say the deposit hadn't gone through. Now, I was travelling all day and came from Europe. The email was sent that day and I had no way of checking my emails until I got into the flat and set up wifi, so I obviously had not received this email. I would like to make a point here and say that I was on my own (the other person had let me down) and I am 67 years old and suffer from Stage III COPD, but I had PAID the flat IN FULL. It was the deposit (for possible damages) they were talking about. Booking.com eventually talked them into giving me the code to get the keys from a box that they then told me where to find on the property. This took almost an hour in the rain and the first thing I did was run to the toilet in the flat for a pee which immediately backed up as soon as I flushed it! I phoned again about this. It took THREE days for someone to come and fix it. I used the toilet in the bathroom and just kept the door closed in the other toilet. The website had said the property had an extra bathroom - INCORRECT. Obviously written by an American. It has ONE bathroom only and one extra toilet only (the backed up one). The flat is spread is over THREE floors with very steep, narrow and carpeted staircases. One of which I fell down and bruised myself badly despite a hand railing. The ground floor has the back yard, small and narrow entrance hall, kitchen and breakfast table. Up the 1st flight of steep stairs is the bathroom, extra TOILET (not bathroom) and living room. Up the 2nd flight of stairs are the 2 bedrooms. I would recommend this nice flat to fit and able adults...
