Cozy

Very nice staff, the house and the bar are very cozy. Close to the metro station.

Felt a bit cold in the house when the weather was less than 10. However, plenty of blankets were provided so sleeping at night was not a problem

Nice people.

Beautiful traditional building. I was a bit stressed when I arrived so the free drink was welcome and it was nice to chat with staff and others at the bar.

Female only rooms instead of mixed dorms.

The spacious dorm room was much appreciated

The staff were lovely. The building was beautiful. The free drink was welcome. The slippers are quite luxurious. The mattress was firm but ok and the pillow was good.

I dont really enjoy the mixed dorm experience. Men always snore. I just dont understand why we need mixed dorms. The kitchen is a bit cramped but kept immaculate. I am not a fan of Japanese bedding. The big doonas can be too hot but you have no other option. Youre either hot or cold if the temperature isnt just right. My first night on my return visit was sleepless for a few of us because we forgot to turn the heating off - we were too hot.

Beautiful old building with accessibility issues in a fairly dull location.

Beautiful old building

The old building is architecturally interesting and has a great atmosphere but it is not particularly comfortable. There are a lot of small stairs to the upper floor. The access to the upper beds in the dorm isnt convenient as well, the stairs are quite steep. The area around is fairly dull, wouldnt recommend it to anyone who would like to hang out for a drink after 20:00.

Very good

The hotel look cozy and cute! It gives the feel of being in traditional Japanese style home (as it is a ryokan). The staff speaks English and is very informative about the facilities of the hotel. Recommended the stay!

The location is far from the station and the surrounding location feels a bit shady (as a lone female traveler). I got someone followed me.

Most beautiful hostel Ive ever stayed in!

Absolutely everything! The house is breathtaking, the location was super convenient, extremely clean, staff was extremely kind, beds are comfy, and you get a free drink every evening
