Reviewers Mention About Fairmont The Norfolk

The recently reopened Fairmont The Norfolk still has some areas to improve on, but the staff were friendly and the lunch setup and ambience were excellent. The food was delicious and unique, and the (Read More)hotel had a beautiful Christmas-themed foyer. The rooms could use an upgrade, but the hotel had impressive layout and a lovely garden. The German General Manager is doing a great job at improving the property. Overall, the hotel is a good choice with top-notch security.

Really good. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Friendliness & helpfulness of staff

No hot water in room but was fixed quickly. Unsupervised child in gym wearing croc shoes on running machine. Should not have been allowed in as could have injured himself & its irritating for gym users if there are children in there.

I absolutely LOVED this hotel - it was so charming, the location was great, and the staff was incrediblely kind, helpful, and welcoming! It was my first trip to Nairobi and my stay at the Norfolk made it memorable!!

Rooms and service let it down

As it was our honeymoon, we asked to be given a nicer room overlooking the gardens, which the hotel made happen. They also decorated the bed which was very lovely. Aisha on the front desk was fantastic.

The rooms are dated and the service in the restaurant and by the pool are incredibly slow. Dont order anything if you dont have at least an hour to wait.
