Pleasant stay in December

The hostel is in a great location - located near London Bridge (great access to anywhere) and near Borough market which is great for the foodies visiting. It is also within the walking distance of the Globe theatre and St Paul's Cathedral and just a short walk away from the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge. It's a fairly cheap hostel, so you cannot expect 3 or 4 stars service, but I slept well, there was no noise from the pub downstairs (I stayed on the second floor), the bathrooms and toilets were kept clean and the staff was kind and helpful.

It's an old building so it can get a bit drafty (also, make sure the windows are not closed all the way if someone airs the room). The Wi-Fi is really spotty - it worked in the morning and barely or not at all in the evenings.

Lovely hostel with a very good location.

We stayed at the Cricketers Hostel. The location was great as you could literally see the London Eye and Big Ben out of the window. You can even walk towards the London Eye by foot in around 30min without Google Maps.

The sink is attached to the toilet - one of the toilets had no soap. I also didn't like the fact that there were no hooks in the bathroom or inside the room to hang wet towels or anything.

Just the location

When I arrived to the hostel and got into my room, the room smelled really bad (like marihuana), there were couple of Guys smoking weed at the room and I even found rests of marihuana on my bed. My pillows were just thrown on the floor and my bed cloth was dirty. I went to the reception and ask for some help (a refund, another room or maybe talk to the guys on the room) and the only help I received was to replace my pillows and wait until next day for the manager to do something (clearly they did not do anything about it) All the building smelled really bad and the showers and toilets were terribly uncomfortable. The staff was also very rude and not willing to help ! Avoid the hostel If you dont want to experience a nightmare at London.

Opcin pagable. Se s vas un par de das, sobrevivirs.

A localizacin cmoda para visitar todo o centro de Londres, preto de Borough Market e moi prxima parada de metro (pechada pola noite). A 10 minutos andando da estacin de London Bridge, onde chegan algns trens de Gatwick (non a todas horas). Calefaccin a unha temperatura correcta. Enchufe en cada litera. O persoal contestou rpido as preguntas que fixen, anda que nalgn caso poda terme facilitado un pouco mis as cousas, xa que os horarios concretos do transporte son mis difciles de consultar sendo turista por descoecemento das pxinas e sistemas.

O peor as duchas: non s escasas senn incomodsimas: sen ningn lugar para deixar as cousas, s dous ganchos colgadores pequenos. Tampouco fra da cabina haba sitio ningn onde pousar algo. Limpeza moi mellorable, sobre todo porque en canto se duchaba unha persoa mollbase todo o cuarto. Literas sen nada de privacidade e nin sequera unha cesta ou estante onde apoiar as gafas, o mbil,... Non haba lugar para deixar as mochilas. Ou usabas unhas taquillas pequenas de pago que haba no pasillo ou tian que quedar polo medio do cuarto, o que creaba desorde de forma inevitable. Non haba unha zona comn acolledora (s cocia), o que tamn prexudica o ambiente nas habitacins. Anda que a localizacin boa, as comunicacins nocturnas desaparecen. Ir dende al ao aeroporto noite foi unha odisea. caro para o que ofrece, pero certamente en Londres todo o . Non obstante a sensacin de deixadez. Sen investir demasiado (uns cantos estantes nas duchas, unhas cestias, lmoadas e cortinas nas literas, uns caixns baixo as camas,...) poderan mellorar moitsimo a confortabilidade do lugar.
