Disappointing stay that did not live up to the description/photos

We had the superior ocean view and it has a terrace like promised looking out to sea. It is very central to 5th ave if that is what you are looking for.

The advert and photos are very misleading compared to what you actually get. The kitchenette and bathroom at every tired in real life and the kitchen was sparse compared to what you would actually need to make your own food whilst staying there. The photos of the beach are misleading; it is a very busy beach open to public and there is a spa beach massage facility right out front meaning there isnt actually any space to make use of the beach front location of the hotel. We didnt get any information about the facilities of the hotel when checking in, simply handed our keys. It is extremely noisy there due to being next to multiple beach clubs.

It was perfect for our fist 5 days in Playa. Right on the beach so we could relax right away.

Right on the beach :) Close to the bus and to 5th (Karen's).

No hair dryer as stated in the listing. The shower head needs replacing and hot water was not always available. Very sparse kitchen supplies.

Great location in Playa del Carmen with lovely beach just in front.

Toilet and shower did not work properly, mattress was dirty below the bed sheet, bed sheet and towels did not smell very fresh. The hotel definitely needs a refurbishing to justify the price/night. Plus, it gets very noisy in the night with all the clubs around.

Amazing location right on the beach! And in the middle of the most important part of the walkable area of Playa del Carmen. All the staff are extremely kind and professional in providing you with whatever you need.

Location, location, locationright on the beach and a short stroll to shops and restaurants.

We booked a standard room which was advertised to have a kitchenette however we were advised upon arrival that only superior rooms actually had the kitchenettes. The staff were very helpful to try to accommodate us and this did not adversely affect our wonderful stay.

We loved this hotel - simple, Mexican style, practical, had everything we needed. Don't expect 5 star and don't be too critical about small things and you won't be disappointed. Amazing location right on the beach and also just a few minutes away from the main walking streets (e.g., Fifth Avenue). Beware that to access the hotel entrance, you need to carry your luggage a little bit in the sand. For us this was not a problem - as we love the beach. On arrival, we were greeted by a really kind gentleman who speaks Spanish (good to brush up on your Spanish before going to Mexico anyway) and was very helpful and caring throughout the whole time. We had a room on the 1st floor with amazing view of the sea. The WIFI in our room was a bit weak - but again, we were there to enjoy the beach and disconnect from everyday life so was not an issue. If you want to do work from there, you'll probably need to find a different solution. I've seen some other reviews about the bar next door - it is true that on some days it was loud when we went to sleep. Having ear plugs with you is a good idea. But on other days, we just joined the party :) The staff next door is also great and very friendly. Great to be able to meet locals and enjoy dancing in the sand by the sea :) Thank you once again Mimi staff!! We hope to be back soon :) Take care.

Great location

Photo camera dissapeared from the room, staff did not look very surprised about that and there was basically nothing to be done, since the only security camera is at the reception. Door locks are very primitive and were locking properly. Basically, the security is below zero.
