Railway has launched the Vikalp scheme, under which, if your waitlisted ticket doesn’t get confirmed in mail/express train that you have booked, you will get accommodated in an alternative train including Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Duronto.

The Railways has launched this scheme to cut down the enormous amount of money spent on paying customers for the refund.

There will be no extra charge taken or refund provided for the difference in fair. You can avail this facility if you opt for it while making the reservation.
