What a wonderful experience.
Bharat scheduled 22 days all over India for us, comlete with 2 domestic flights and all of ou lodgings. Every single tour guide and outing he arranged was incredible. The (Read More) hotels were always fun and unique (we specifically asked for nicer smaller boutique hotels over larger commercialized ones). For the first 12 days, he hooked us up with a driver named Bryjlal who took care of every need we could have had. I'm sometimes a litttle nervous traveling with my wife (5'11" with waist length blond hair, in certain regions she really stands out), but he acted almost as a body gaurd. Stayed right by her side. Shooed away obnoxious vendors. Would step right in between her and some of the more agreesive ones. He was everything we could have asked for in a driver.
As far as the outings and activities, he lined out for us, everything was incredible. We did the normal big city/fort tours. Did the tourist trap markets. But the times we had the most fun were off the beaten paths and out of the cities. He arranged a couple of different bicycle tours for us. One in the early hours before the morning bustle through the city (Jaipur) was incredible. Another was out in a rural area through moutains and farmland. We took a hike through the mountains above Varanassi to some smaller local farms and ate a home cooked lunch in a villagers home. Its the small things like that my wife and I love doing, and Bharat packed our trip with wonderful experiences like that.
I could go on and on forever what an amazing job Bharat did. Everythings was planned out perfectly. There were absolutely no stressful times regarding logistics. He would even send me texts days before our domestic flights to lets us know he was already aware our flight time had changed and he had already adjusted our schedule to match. We' ve travelled all over. Every continent. many countries. I have never had such a seamless easy trip. I cant recommend India Wanders enough.
There is a good chance will will be booking again to take family members and some friends on the exact same 22 day trip. It was the "easiest" trip with the most comprehensive planning we have ever taken.
