I had planned a trip with Himalyan Host and it was a very bad experience for me. They took extra charges from me after making a commitment and I did not get any of the services that they had promised to provide. The travel agent Rijul Sharma did not pick up the phone after taking the money from us. They did not have any plan, we have to follow whatever the driver decides. The hotel in Shimla was b (Read More)elow expectations. They spoil my entire trip.

There is nothing to be liked; sales folks give itineraries and cover nothing. they squeeze all your money. If you ask bill with sales person (Rijul Sharma). He demands more money to give you the bill.
no proper transportation, worst hotels, and infact the whole trip is decided by cab owners. and wherever you ask to go they say NO. after 6 pm if you ask cab driver to go they will charge extra. They want us pay the money and do not roam in cab and hire a private vehicle to roam In local. Overall pathetic experience. sales folks will always support cab owners they wont cooperate with you.

They tell lies even after they gave itinerary from their official ID. They increase price after you start the tour. They donot coordinate with Hotels or the drivers. Even they donot know who is the driver stays with us for 6days. They dont even share the tour plan with the driver. Actually they are just 3rd party very small scale middle man type tour operators.They have very poor communication. Ms (Read More) Gunjan Sharma made false promises and later on easily blames the customers. Mr Rijul Sharma tries to help last minute but things were never in place. From beginning till end we had one or other issue. While taking your advance they tell all good things, later they easily changes their stand. Extremely unprofessional approach by Ms Gunjan Sharma and overall by Himalayan Host. In last minute they changed our Manali hotel without consulting with us. In a super deluxe package the gave us worst hotel "Ishan Regency". Where no electric cattle, geyser does not work in washrooms, no tissue papers and towels in toilet, frequently power goes off, no generator. Stinky uncleaned bedsheets, blankets. Buffet breakfast has only Poha and buffet dinner was only dal roti rice and 1 vegetable. Unprofessional staffs who had excuse for every failure. The hotel was in very remote area, reaching and driving their os not safe also in a congested place.
Overall it was very poor experience with HimalayanHost specially Gunjan Sharma.

If you are considering booking with Himalyan Host, I strongly urge you to reconsider. If it were possible to give negative ratings, we would do so without hesitation.
Our experience with *Himalyan (Read More)Host* during our Dalhousie-Khajjiar trip was nothing short of a nightmare. Despite multiple pre-trip communications where we clearly outlined our travel dates (10th August departure, 11th, 12th, 13th August stay, and 14th August departure, returning on the 15th), and mutually agreeing on a particular package, the agency failed on every front.
Cab Issues: We were promised a comfortable ride in a Dzire cab, but instead, we were met with a cab that had a non-functional AC, no FASTag, and an hour-long delay while the driver tried to arrange one. This set the tone for a trip that quickly went downhill. They booked a driver who had no knowledge about the place, he was asking clueless as a traveller.
Hotel Horrors: The images of the hotel room shared by *Himalyan Host* were misleading. Upon arrival, we were greeted by peeling paint, a musty smell, and dirty bedsheets. It was clear that the hotel was not maintained as advertised.
Booking Blunder: The most appalling part of our experience was the hotel booking. Despite confirming multiple times that our booking was for the 11th, 12th, and 13th, they booked the hotel for the 10th, 11th, and 12th instead. This critical error left us in a difficult situation. When we contacted *Himalyan Host* to resolve this, their agents were incredibly rude and uncooperative, despite acknowledging their mistake on a recorded call.
Unreachable Support: Before the trip, we were assured that the agency would be reachable if any issues arose. However, when problems inevitably did occur—due to their own mistakes—it was extremely difficult to get in touch with them.
Zero Planning: The overall planning by Himalyan Host was nonexistent. The itinerary we had agreed upon was not followed. Instead, we were taken to random places on different dates than planned, causing significant confusion and headaches throughout the trip.
Poor Management: The sales representative, Gunjan Sharma, kept consulting someone named Akhil for bookings and other arrangements, which only added to the chaos. Then, to fix the mistake they made in our hotel and cab bookings, they demanded more money from us. They even had the audacity to say, "Oo bhai, jana hai ya wahi rehna hai tereko," before hanging up the call. This disorganized and unprofessional approach added to our already horrible experience, despite having paid them in full.
In conclusion, Himalyan Host is an agency that cannot be trusted. We suffered the consequences of their incompetence, deceit, and lack of responsibility. Book with them at your own risk.
