Pleasant but somewhat sour experience

What's Good: In my recent trip to South India, I liked the vehicle condition like AC was working in good condition and the driver was polite throughout the trip and no worst experience during b (Read More)oarding on and off to all locations.
What's Not Good: The booked vehicle driver could merely speak in English and accommodation experience at one of the hotels was not good as it was promised and the name appeared. The Hotel name is "Rameshwaram Grand" which has very ordinary washrooms and even the facilities were not as expected being a Star rated Hotel. The staff members especially in the reception were not welcoming and comfortable to talk and gave very late response to any requests by travelers. Although, the itinerary package covered food for the driver but still the driver requested for food (Lunch) in few places which the Agent denied paying when I enquired.

1. Hotel Experience at Rameshwaram Grand
We regret to hear that your experience at Hotel Rameshwaram Grand did not meet your expectations. Please allow us to clarify:
Rameshwaram Grand is a reputed star-rated hotel in the region, generally well-reviewed for its amenities and cleanliness.
Regarding your concern about the washroom, our team did offer a room change, but the offer was politely declined by you at that time.
Concerning the dinner service, kindly note that the hotel’s restaurant closes at 9:00 PM. As per our communication, we had advised having dinner outside the hotel in case of late arrival or plans extending beyond restaurant hours.
We have shared your feedback with the hotel management as well, and they will be taking note for future service improvements.
2. Driver's Communication and Food Arrangements
The driver assigned to your tour could communicate primarily in English. We understand this may have posed minor challenges, and we’ll work to improve language compatibility in future assignments.
As per the agreed itinerary, driver's food was covered by the package. However, we found that on two occasions, the food bill was mistakenly combined with the customer's bill by the hotel supplier. The driver himself mentioned the food cost to be approx. ₹250 (not exact).
We apologize for this confusion and will take corrective measures with our local partners to avoid such mix-ups in the future.
3. Early Duty Start and Night Allowance
On the day in Rameshwaram, you requested the driver to begin duty at 4:15 AM and continue until late night. As per standard policy, early start and long hours generally attract a night allowance, which was not included or paid. We kindly request your understanding as such early duty hours are considered beyond regular service timelines.
4. Parking Charges & Additional Sightseeing
While parking charges were covered for locations listed in your itinerary, you personally paid for parking at Suchindram and Ariyaman Beach, which were not part of the original plan.
Additionally, we noticed that you visited a few other locations in each city apart from those listed in your itinerary. Please note that we did not deny any of these requests and tried to accommodate your plans in good faith, keeping your experience in mind.
