Day 1 Arrive at Bagdogra/NJP – Darjeeling
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri railway station, meet our representative and drive to Darjeeling. Perched at 2134m above sea level, Darjeeling – or ‘Dorje Ling’ – meaning “Place of the Thunderbolt,” is one of India’s most loved hill stations. Framed by the majestic Kanchendzonga range and surrounded by world-famous tea estates, Darjeeling is lovingly called the “Queen of the Hills.” Its scenic views, colonial charm, toy train, and pleasant weather make it a timeless destination.

Begin your day early with a visit to Tiger Hill (subject to availability of permit) to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Himalayan range. Watch as the first golden rays hit the peaks of Kanchenjunga and, on clear days, even Mount Everest. After breakfast, go on a local city tour covering the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays), Zoological Park (closed on Thursdays), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, the Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, and a view of the tea estates from outside.

Post breakfast, proceed to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Located at an altitude of 1750 meters, Gangtok blends Buddhist culture with urban comfort. The town is known for its monasteries, orchids, and panoramic views. After checking in, head out for a short sightseeing tour covering the vibrant Flower Exhibition Center, Handicraft Centre, Institute of Tibetology, and the revered Do Drul Chorten stupa.

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day excursion to the beautiful glacial lake of Changu (Tsomgo) located at an altitude of 12,400 ft. Surrounded by snow-covered mountains, the lake is fed by melting snow and is revered in local legends. Later, visit the New Baba Mandir – a shrine dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, an Indian Army soldier whose spirit is believed to protect the region.

After breakfast, drive to Kalimpong, a peaceful town known for its colonial charm and flower nurseries. At 1250m above sea level, Kalimpong is ideal for a relaxed getaway. Historically, it was a bustling wool-trading center with Tibet until the 1950s. Visit key attractions in the afternoon, including Mangal Dham, Durpin Hill, the Golf Course (from outside), and the famous Cactus Nursery.
Overnight stay in Kalimpong.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station for your return journey. Your trip ends with unforgettable memories of the Eastern Himalayas and its timeless hill towns.

When I was given a tour enquiry to the DreamFly, I received a call from DreamFly, a woman voice so gently and motherly tone i.e Mamatha Madam. Fascinated by the way of approach of Mamatha Sister (because I am a Senior Citizen) I have confirmed our family tour with DreamFly as the tour cost has been chalked out so cost concept manner. Mamatha Sister is oftenly asked about problems when we were travelling and suggesting and arranging for better way out for our journey.
