Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Chandigarh - Narkanda via Shimla (175 kms/ 7 hrs)
Upon arrival at Chandigarh Airport, Railway Station, or Bus Stand, you will be greeted and picked up for your journey to Narkanda. En route, you will explore Shimla, the "Queen of Hills", and make a stop at Kufri, famous for its Himalayan Nature Park and wildlife zoo. The scenic route also includes a visit to Hatu Mata Temple, nestled on a hilltop offering panoramic views. You will reach Narkanda by late afternoon. Overnight stay at a hotel in Narkanda.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Chitkul via Sangla. On the way, enjoy a stop at the dramatic Tranda Dhank (also known as the Umbrella Road), and pay a quick visit to Tranda Mata Temple. Enjoy lunch at Badhal before continuing your drive. Upon reaching Chitkul, take an evening walk around the charming village, nestled by the Baspa River, and stroll through the surrounding apple orchards. Overnight stay at Chitkul or Sangla.
Post breakfast, begin your drive to Kalpa. Along the way, stop at Recong Peo to visit the Buddha Statue and Monastery, followed by scenic drives through Rakchham and Roghi villages. At Kalpa, explore the Chini village, visit local temples and monasteries, and take in stunning views of the majestic Mt. Kinner Kailash. Overnight stay in Kalpa.
After breakfast, check out and start your journey to Tabo. En route, stop at Khab, the confluence point of the Spiti and Satluj rivers. Visit Nako village for lunch and a peaceful stroll around Nako Lake. Later, explore Gue Village, home to the 530-year-old naturally preserved Mummy Monk at Gue Monastery. Reach Tabo by evening. Overnight stay at a hotel in Tabo or Hurling.
Following breakfast, drive towards Kaza, the heart of Spiti Valley. En route, visit Tabo Caves and Monastery, often referred to as the "Ajanta of the Himalayas". Continue your journey to Dhankhar village, where you may opt for a short trek to Dhankhar Lake, offering splendid views and tranquility. Arrive in Kaza by afternoon and spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the riverside or local markets. Overnight stay in Kaza.
After breakfast, enjoy a full day of sightseeing around Kaza. Visit Langza village, known for its iconic Buddha statue and Fossil Park, followed by a drive to Komic village, the highest motorable village in the world. Continue to Hikkim village, which hosts the world’s highest post office. Return to Kaza in the evening. Overnight stay in Kaza.
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Chandratal. Visit the ancient Kye Monastery, Kibber village known for its wildlife sightings, and the iconic Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest bridge. Continue to Losar, the last village in Spiti Valley, and ascend to Kunzum La Pass at 4,551 meters. Reach the mesmerizing Chandratal Lake, situated at an altitude of 4,270 meters. Overnight camping or stay near Chandratal or Losar, depending on weather and accessibility.
After breakfast, begin the scenic drive to Manali via Batal, Chhatru, and Koksar. Pass through the famous Atal Tunnel, one of the longest tunnels in India, and take a short break at Solang Valley, which is known for its adventure activities. Reach Manali by evening and check into your hotel. Enjoy a relaxed walk around the Mall Road and explore the local market. Overnight stay in Manali.

As per the flight time/railway time, head to Chandigarh from Manali. It will take 7-9 hrs to reach Chandigarh.

  13. We reserve the right to change hotels, sightseeing destinations, or routes under specific circumstances like maintenance issues, availability concerns, network disruptions, natural calamities, road blockages, or medical emergencies.
  14. Air conditioning will not be used in cabs while in hilly or mountainous areas.
  15. Heaters will be available for an extra charge.
  16. Travelers are responsible for carrying and safeguarding their luggage from the parking lot to hotel premises or campsites.
  17. It is recommended to include a buffer day for potential delays caused by bad weather or landslides. Expenses for any additional buffer days utilized will be borne by the traveler.

We(total 24 members) have visited shimla - sangla - kalpa kinnaur at the time of last Durga Puja (12th - 19th October 2024) with the total arrangement including (Read More) fooding lodging and travelling by Tempo Traveller by Laxmi Chauhan of Royal Adventures. We have great experience and enjoyed a lot. Laxmi ji was keeping contact with us in each and every point of our journey. Hotels were so beautiful, foods so delicious and hospitality was so charming.Drivers were also excellent specially Mishra ji.....thanks Mishra ji for giving us a safe journey.
