Day 1 Arrival in Srinagar | Local Sightseeing & Shikara Ride

Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, our driver will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Srinagar. After check-in, freshen up and get ready to explore the beauty of the city. Proceed for local sightseeing, covering the famous Mughal gardens:

  • Nishat Bagh
  • Shalimar Bagh
  • Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden (Botanical Garden)
  • Chashme Shahi
  • Pari Mahal

Also visit the sacred Hazratbal Shrine and Shankaracharya Temple. In the evening, visit the beautiful Dal Lake and enjoy a 1-hour complimentary Shikara ride, witnessing a mesmerizing sunset over the lake. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, proceed towards Gulmarg. Enjoy a scenic drive through lush green valleys, charming villages, pine forests, and snow-capped peaks in the distance. Gulmarg is known for its breathtaking meadows, pristine beauty, and romantic atmosphere. Upon arrival, soak in the mesmerizing surroundings. You may also enjoy the famous Gondola ride (Phase 1 & Phase 2) for panoramic views of snow-covered mountains. After spending quality time, return to Srinagar by evening.

After breakfast, head towards Sonamarg. The journey itself is mesmerizing, with views of flowing rivers, lush valleys, and majestic mountains. Sonamarg is known for its golden meadows, glaciers, and untouched natural beauty. Upon arrival, you can enjoy optional visits to:

  • Zoji La Pass (Zero Point)

Return to Srinagar in the evening.

After breakfast, check out and drive towards Pahalgam. En route, enjoy:

We had a wonderful experience with Javed from Wow Kashmir! He is a great tour operator and, more importantly, someone who actually listens to what you want from (Read More) your trip. We had reached Srinagar around 11 AM on our first day and wanted to cover all the gardens before our Shikara ride at sunset. Javed was completely open to the idea and planned the route so well that we managed to cover all of them and still reach in time for the Shikara ride. The timing worked out perfectly! What we really loved was how he paid attention to the little things we were interested in. We wanted to experience Kashmir through its food as well, so he sweetly got us Noon Chai and traditional Kashmiri breakfast bread from his own home. He also helped us find really fresh trout, took us to a great place to try Kashmiri Wazwan, and helped us get some lovely apples. Javed doesn't just follow an itinerary. He listens, understands what you are looking for, and genuinely tries to add those little experiences that turn a trip into a collection of memories. All the staff in the hotel are honest and attentive. But there are some issues in the food quality of the restaurant of the hotel. We all enjoyed the trip to our best.
