Arrival and Hotel Transfer: Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be met by our representative who will assist with your transfer to the hotel.
Sightseeing Tour: Later, embark on a sightseeing tour of Srinagar’s world-famous Mughal Gardens, including Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Tulip Gardens (Asia’s largest tulip garden). Visit the botanical gardens, Chashme Shahi, Pari Mahal, and the renowned Hazratbal Shrine. All these gardens are set along the banks of Dal Lake with the picturesque Zabarwan hills in the backdrop. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Excursion to Sonamarg: After breakfast, proceed to Sonamarg (Golden Meadow), nestled in the Sind Valley and surrounded by mountains. This area is renowned for its scenic beauty and is a starting point for treks to high-altitude Himalayan lakes. Enjoy horse riding up to Thajiwas Glacier and, optionally, sledge riding on snow (additional cost).
Overnight Stay: Return to Srinagar for an overnight stay at the hotel.
Gulmarg Exploration: In the morning, depart for Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers), situated at 2730 meters above sea level. Gulmarg is famed for its ski slopes and an 18-hole golf course. If the weather is clear, you can see Nanga Parbat, the towering mountain over 26,000 feet high. Enjoy a cable car (Gondola) ride up to Khilangmarg at your own cost.
Overnight Stay: Return to Srinagar for an overnight stay at the hotel.
Drive to Pahalgam: After breakfast, head to Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds). En route, visit the saffron fields of Pampore and the Awantipura Ruins, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu built by King Awantivarman. Enjoy the scenic countryside and pine forests. Arrive in Pahalgam and experience the Lidder Stream. Take a walk along pony trails with magnificent mountain views. Overnight at the hotel in Pahalgam.
Optional Trips in Pahalgam: In the foothills of Pahalgam, choose from optional trips to Aru, Betaab, Chandanwari, or Baisaran (cost not included) to enhance your experience. In the evening, transfer to a houseboat in Srinagar. Freshen up and visit the historic Shankaracharya Temple on Mount Sulaiman. Enjoy a serene shikara ride on Dal Lake as evening falls. - In Katra, for Pithu, Palki, or Pony services, the Municipal Committee Katra has fixed rates displayed on the rate card outside their booking office at Banganga. If someone is overcharging above the listed rates, you can negotiate hard.
- In Srinagar, if you are staying at a houseboat, Shikara rides are complimentary, so do not pay for them.
- It is not mandatory to take ponies in Gulmarg and Pahalgam to visit all important tourist spots, as major attractions are within walking distance. However, if you still wish to take a pony ride, sledging, or rafting, the rates are highly negotiable, so bargain as much as possible.
- Sightseeing to Aru Valley, Beetab Valley, or Chandanwari at Pahalgam will be by local taxi union only. Due to union rules, outside vehicles cannot enter these areas. Rates are negotiable, and you will need to pay extra directly.
- For shopping dry fruits, Rajma, Basmati rice, handicrafts, woolens, carpets, saffron, or cricket bats in Srinagar, visit Lal Chowk or Boulevard.
- For Kashmiri Wazwan food, Aadhoos at Lal Chowk Srinagar is the best place, and Gee Enn Bakers on Residency Road offers excellent mutton kebabs.
- For vegetarian food in Srinagar, Krishna Dhaba is highly recommended.
