Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Cochin – Transfer to Munnar
Upon arrival, you will be greeted at Cochin Airport/Railway Station and transferred to Munnar (approximately 150 km). Enjoy sightseeing at Cheeyappara Waterfalls, Valara Falls, and Tea Gardens on the way. You may also visit a Tea Factory. Spend the night at a hotel or resort in Munnar.

After breakfast, explore Munnar, including visits to Rajamalai (Eravikulam National Park), Mattupetty Dam (optional boating), Echo Point, Shooting Point, Honey Bee Tree, and Blossom Park. Overnight stay at a hotel or resort in Munnar

After breakfast, check out and proceed to Thekkady (approximately 110 km). En route, visit Lockhart Gap and Power House Waterfalls. In Thekkady, visit the Periyar Tiger Reserve Forest (boating at the dam is optional). In the evening, you can attend traditional art performances like Kathakali, Mohiniyattom, or a martial arts show (optional).

After breakfast, check out and travel to Alleppey (approximately 165 km). Embark on a private houseboat to cruise through the scenic backwaters, canals, and lagoons. Enjoy traditional Kerala meals and village experiences like coir-making and craftwork. The houseboat will anchor at sunset. Overnight stay on the houseboat.

After breakfast on the houseboat, continue the cruise in the morning before disembarking. Travel to Kovalam (approximately 185 km) and visit local attractions such as the Art Gallery, Veli Tourist Village, Sanghumugham Beach, and the Science & Technology Museum. You may also enjoy optional activities like water sports at Kovalam Beach.

 After breakfast, visit Trivandrum and explore famous spots like Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the Zoo, the Astronomical Observatory, Kanakakunnu Palace, Hawah Beach, and Poovar Beach. Overnight stay at a resort in Kovalam.

 After breakfast, check out from the resort and travel to either Trivandrum (15 km) or Cochin (250 km) for your return journey. Last day we got bad experience. Our train from ernakulam to Bangalore was at 2.2 (Read More)0pm. He brought us at 11.30 and told that take all your luggages from the vehicle and go to train. We told that keep all the luggages in the vehicle and we will take after returning from market. He has not accepted. We suffered like this, as we don't know anything in the new place. When it is 7 days trip, till evening vehicle shall be with us.
On 08.03.2026, he left us at 3.30 pm at the hotel. In the evening we went to haw (Read More)a beach in a auto. As per schedule padmanabha temple visit was on 8.03.26, but he did not take us. On 09.03.2026 he took to the temple, which took lot of time and reduced our boat house experience. Food & hospitality was very good at manner. It was average at thekkady and samudra Teeram hotel.food was good at boathouse, but water provided is very bad. We could not take bath at house boat.

1. No clarity about the Allepy water way tour inclusion in the house boat. Extra (Read More) payment was taken by a small boat for canal tour through villages, though details were given in the activity list. 2. No proactive guidance by the cab driver.
